Red Hot Chili Peppers Live at Beirut Waterfront 06/09/2012 Concert Review

Whether you were out of town, on duty, too lazy, too old, boycotting or simply broke, you missed one hell of a show!

The Red Hot Chili Peppers Live at Beirut Waterfront, one of the most awaited events of the year was finally happening. 

From the heart of Lebanon, it all started when Pindoll took the stage and performed a good set of tunes that got the crowd hyped and ready to welcome the Peppers. I can not skip mentioning that their version of The Beatles' "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" was quite impressive and unique.

At about 10:00 PM, the main event kicked off with "Monarchy Of Roses". The stage went on fire with all the lights, LED screens and most important, the SOUND of the Red Hot Chili Pepers performing right in front of us. As the band was playing many of their best hits such as "Snow (Hey Oh)", "Can't Stop", "Under the Bridge", the timeless "Californication" and "By the Way", the crowd was dazzled by the insane visuals.

Just as expected, RHCP brought to the stage the rock, the funk and of course the positive energy of a very well tailored show. In between songs, the band played amazing improvised pieces that finally led to "Give It Away" where the crowd simply went crazy!

Between Chad's tight drumming, Anthony's crazy vocals, Flea being "da bomb" and Josh's amazing guitar skills, RHCP delivered an overall great performance and an experience that Lebanese rock lovers will never forget.

Oh! And by the way, Josh performed on a chair due to some leg injury, but this "Handicap Match" was totally the Peppers' for the win.
